Online conference “Urbanism Relocated, an Intermediate Encounter: Korean Music in Indonesia” was held on January 14-15, 2022. Five keynote speakers were from Chung-Ang University and Korean Cultural Heritage, South Korea; UGM, Korea-Indonesia; University of California, Santa Cruz, U.S.A; and the Graduate School, Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ), Indonesia.
In addition, on the second day, there were six groups of selected speakers from universities in Indonesia, namely UGM, Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW), Surabaya State University (Unesa), and Tanjungpura University, Pontianak.
The speakers presented the results of observations and research. They conducted discussions on the issues of the relationship between Indonesian and Korean music with the topics, Identity, Practice, Industry, and Relationships.
This online conference results from the collaboration between the Graduate School at IKJ and the Academy of Korean Studies.
